There was a great buzz of excitement at school when the men from the Belleek Men's Shed brought their newly built Cot to the school for the children to see. A Cot is a flat bed boat that was originally a burnt out log or hollowed out tree but has been redeveloped over the centuries and has been used on Lough Erne to transport animals, building materials and food from the port at Ballyshannon to Enniskillen and beyond. Our children looked very comforatble in the Cot and ready to travel anywhere on the river. Thanks to the gentlemen for showing their work to the children.
